Cooking Classes at the GBRC
The Greater Blackville Resource Centre offered free cooking classes for anyone in the community that was interested in participating. Joy Nordin, Food Bank Manager and Community Food Mentor, gave three cooking classes of three sessions to a total of 15 participants. Participants learned the basics of using a slow cooker, cooking skills, knife skills and food safety. Joy incorporated vegetables and fruit in all recipes. Each participant received a slow cooker and a recipe book at the end of the class. Participants thoroughly enjoyed every session and have learned many new skills! The 5210 Team would like to congratulate the GBRC for their great initiative!
